Save the Date – June 29, 2024, PSP/CBD Symposium, Hybrid

Plan to join Brain Support Network – either in-person on the Stanford campus or virtually – for a symposium for the progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and corticobasal degeneration (CBD) communities, on Saturday, June 29, 2024, 10am to 3pm PT.  Co-hosted by Stanford.  Everyone is welcome.

This symposium will feature a movement disorder specialist, memory disorder specialist, physical therapist, speech therapist, and neuro-palliative care physician from Stanford and other institutions in Northern California.  The movement disorder specialist speaker will be Brent Bluett, DO, who presented one of our most frequently viewed webinars on treating PSP and CBD.

A highlight in the afternoon will be a panel of people coping with PSP or CBD.   Most likely the panel will be local Brain Support Network PSP and CBD support group members.  (We use the acronym “CBD” to include corticobasal syndrome.)

The registration fee will be small – whether attending in-person or virtually.  Scholarships will be available.  Registration will open by late May 2024.

If you join us in-person, plan to arrive by 9:30am to register, grab some coffee, and visit exhibitor and resource tables.  A healthy lunch will be provided.

Help us spread the word by sharing this flyer.

To be sure you are notified when registration opens, you can join the Brain Support Network email list or email us.

If you are interested in exhibiting at the symposium, contact Robin Riddle.

This event is sponsored, in part, by CurePSP.

If you live in Northern or Central California, join the Brain Support Network PSP/CBD support groups!  Brain Support Network offers a monthly PSP/CBD caregiver-only support group, alternating between in-person (San Mateo) and virtual gatherings.   Brain Support Network also coordinates a monthly virtual support group meeting for those with a PSP or CBD diagnosis.  Email us about joining either group.
